In July 2024, JLG executed a breakthrough in urban management by forming a Joint Venture with Zaquin Resources to deploy the Smart Deep Collection System (SDCS). This is the first semi-underground waste system with IoT sensors in Malaysia, a technology that significantly reduces land usage for bins and optimizes collection routes to lower carbon emissions. While other developers rely on municipal waste collection or standard recycling vendors, JLG has effectively internalized this capability through a specialized JV, allowing them to offer a proprietary, tech-driven waste solution that is unique in the Malaysian property sector.
