About the ESG Select List

The ESG Select List 2025 recognises UNGCMYB member organisations that demonstrate consistent commitment and progress in advancing sustainability within their operations, workforce, and partnerships.

Organised by the UN Global Compact Network Malaysia & Brunei (UNGCMYB), this non-competitive recognition celebrates members who are embedding responsible business practices aligned with the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Companies recognised will be placed on the ESG Select List 2025 – an exclusive acknowledgement of organisations driving meaningful change through sustainability action.

Each selected organisation will receive a token of recognition and a digital badge for corporate communications use.

Unlike the Forward Faster Sustainability Awards, which honour outstanding performance through a competitive judging process, the ESG Select List highlights dedication, transparency, and continuous improvement in sustainability integration.

The ESG Select List 2025

Recognising members taking action today,
while inspiring tomorrow’s sustainability leaders.

Categories

The ESG Select List 2025 features five recognition categories under a single scheme, celebrating organisations that demonstrate leadership, innovation, and accountability in advancing sustainability.

Recipients will be selected by UNGCMYB’s Internal Technical Committee based on nominations received. There may be more than one recipient for each category.

Each recognition earned under a category contributes one star, representing excellence in that particular dimension of sustainability performance – from partnerships and innovation to workforce development, target setting, and overall ESG integration. These stars will be reflected in the organisation’s official ESG Select List badge, visually representing the number of categories in which the organisation has been recognised.

Organisations that achieve recognition across all five categories will be awarded the ESG Select List 5-Star Badge – the highest distinction under this initiative, symbolising holistic and sustained sustainability leadership across environmental, social, and governance dimensions.
