Forward Faster
Sustainability Awards
Organised By UN Global Compact Network Malaysia & Brunei (UNGCMYB)

Nominations are now open for the Forward Faster Sustainability Awards 2025
About The

The Forward Faster Sustainability Awards (FFSA) honour organisations and leaders that have made sustainability an integral part of business strategy, operations, and culture.
Organised by the UN Global Compact Network Malaysia & Brunei (UNGCMYB), the Awards celebrate measurable progress aligned with the UN Global Compact’s Forward Faster priorities and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In 2025, the Awards introduce a refreshed nomination process that places stronger emphasis on credibility, measurable outcomes, and transparent reporting — including the submission of sustainability case studies that showcase real-world impact and performance under UNGCMYB’s 10 Sustainability Performance Enablers (SPE) framework.
This year also marks a clear separation between Awards and Recognitions — with the latter hosted independently as a non-competitive acknowledgement of commitment and effort.
Also new this cycle, The Awards introduce a 50/50 judging model, combining public voting and evaluation by an Independent Judging Panel.
This balanced approach encourages greater community engagement while maintaining the Awards’ integrity and rigour — giving the wider public a voice in celebrating sustainability leadership.

Awards Categories
The Forward Faster Sustainability Awards feature two main categories that celebrate both corporate and individual leadership in advancing sustainable business practices.
The Enterprise-Level Awards celebrate companies that are translating sustainability commitments into meaningful, measurable outcomes. These categories aim to recognise organisations that have integrated sustainability across governance, operations, and value chains — creating impact that extends beyond compliance to drive long-term business and societal value.
With this year’s more refined nomination process through case study submissions, corporates will be assessed across five revenue tiers and nine sustainability categories:

Embedding sustainability into strategy and leadership.
Sustainability Governance
Reducing emissions and advancing low-carbon solutions.
Climate Action
Promoting inclusivity, equity, and women’s empowerment.
Gender Equality
Ensuring fair, safe, and equitable workplaces.
Decent Work & Living Wage
Mobilising capital for responsible growth.
Sustainable Finance & Investment
Upholding transparency and ethical business conduct.
Anti-Corruption
Building responsible and resilient value chains.
Sustainable Supply Chain
Protecting ecosystems and natural resources.
Nature & Biodiversity
Creating meaningful social and economic impact.
Community Engagement
This approach ensures recognition is both equitable and evidence-based, highlighting companies that demonstrate real progress in advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
SMEs continue to participate through the SME ESG Challenge, which serves as their nomination pathway for the Awards.

2

Individual-Level Awards
All submissions will be reviewed by a Technical Committee and evaluated by an Independent Judging Panel based on credibility, scale of impact, and alignment with the SPE framework.
