About the event

As global demands for sustainability intensify from investors, capital providers, regulators, and shifting social expectations, organizations are under increasing pressure to align their operations with sustainable practices. This shift could significantly impact their market share, access to financing, and even their license to operate. To address these challenges, organizations need talent equipped with the right competencies: the will, knowledge, and skills to drive sustainable change.

Join us at the UN Global Compact Network Malaysia & Brunei’s (UNGCMYB) half-day GO ESG 2024 Symposium titled ‘Empowering Talent in Achieving the SDGs’. This event brings together leaders from diverse sectors to explore how learning and development can equip employees and SME suppliers to meet these demands.

The symposium will also unveil Version 2.0 of the Corporate Sustainability Practitioner (CSP) Competency Framework, a crucial resource developed in collaboration with Bursa Malaysia. This framework is the foundation of learning and development in the rapidly evolving sustainability field, empowering organizations to strategically develop their talent with the necessary competencies. Ensure your teams are well-equipped to navigate the complexities and drive meaningful, long-term impact.

Objectives:

1) To advocate for sustainable procurement practices and encourage stakeholders to extend ESG considerations throughout the supply chain.

2) To encourage SMEs to adopt ESG and sustainable business practices, through sharing success stories.

3) To showcase best practices in sustainability talent development, offering strategies that can be adopted to build competencies
