Peer Learning with IJM Corporation: Building credible climate action through informed strategy

Crafting a well-informed strategy is paramount in constructing credible climate action. An informed strategy not only ensures that the initiatives and measures taken are based on accurate data and insights but also enables effective adaptation to the ever-evolving landscape of climate challenges and aligning intentions with tangible results that benefit both the environment and society.

In this session, Shane Guha Thakurta, General Manager of Investor Relations and Sustainability of IJM Corporation Berhad, will be sharing about IJM's experience and learning in shaping internal sustainability and climate strategy, covering topics below:

• Deriving an extensive Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon emissions profile, whereby IJM had collated data for 8 out of the 15 categories under Scope 3 for FY2023 reporting;

• Identifying physical and transition climate risks and opportunities; and

• Leveraging on digitalisation to manage low carbon transition journey
